Man Camp – Sept. 17 & 18
Join us for… Man Camp – Sept. 17 & 18
This year we are once again planning to attend… Man Camp.
No longer do we call it a retreat. Real men don’t retreat. No! This is a Man Camp. Join us if you dare!
The 2010 Northwest Christian Man Camp is scheduled for September 17 & 18. Theme: “MEN by God!”
Watch for upcoming news about our paintball challenge. We’ll have paintball activities the afternoon prior to the official start of the Man Camp. These activities will include team challenges (5 man teams against 5 man teams). Additional fees will be required for paintball activities. Jericho Paintball Ministries will be our facilitators.
Pre-registration costs are the different: $45 from now until September 1, 2010 (Cheaper than last year!). After that it’s $55. This includes food, lodging and/or RV hookups.
Registrations are online at the PVCC website.
What about the 2009 Indestructible Men’s Retreat? According to the vast majority of those who attended, it was a huge success. Colonel Fowler had great sessions, the band was excellent (even had fog!), the workshops were top-notch, and the food was the best!
The popular “Back Off” t-shirts are still available through the camp office (front looks similar to the picture on the photos page), or you can order them through an office in Lacey at 360-491-7372. New t-shirts are forthcoming, as well as posters, etc.
Who will be leading sessions, music, and workshops at the 2010 Man Camp? We don’t have everything lined up yet, but we are trying to get our most popular workshop leaders back. Paul MacLurg, a favorite workshop leader from last year, will be the main speaker this year! Additionally, we’ll have excellent workshops, including one by Lt. Col. Floyd Sheldon of Northwest Leadership De-velopment & Studies, & author of the new book “The Fundamentals of Leadership: Essential Tools of the Trade.”
Special workshops just for the young men (teens) will also be available this year, including a fitness one where they’ll learn how to get bigger, faster, stronger, and get in overall top shape. We’re currently looking into having a workshop on paintball strategy, one on archery, and possibly one on MMA self-defense!
In case you’re wondering, we will have a “Simple & Effective Principles for Physical Fitness” workshop for the men, as well!
Rick & the man band do plan to return, so that’s great news!
Mark your calendars and plan now to attend. Next year we do plan on having a streamlined teenage-specific “separate” stream of things for those younger guys. Yes, we doubled our size and created momentum – our goals accomplished. Next year, we intend for it to be even bigger and better.
Contact the camp office if you have further questions. 1-800-789-9841.

Call2Fall
Call2Fall is really just an encouragement to follow God’s “call to fall” in 2 Chronicles 7:14 :
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We are not attempting anything elaborate. No slick program. No big production. No elaborate campaign. Just setting aside a definite time during worship on July 4, 2010 when we ask our people to get on our knees before the Lord in repentant prayer with the hope that He will begin to reshape our lives and renew our land.

Camping Trip to Cananda
July 23- 25th, CVCC has been asked to provide a Worship Team for a Christian Camp in Nakusp, BC. It is on the Upper Arrow Lakes off of the Columbia River, about 200 miles North of the Washington boarder. About a 500 mile drive. Looks like a beautiful, beautiful place!!!! The invitation is extended beyond “Just” the worship team. We would like to invite anyone that would like to join us.
The Christian Camp is run by Winona Furgison’s brother’s church. All accommodations and camp costs for the Worship Team will be provided and cost covered. We will be leading worship for the camp 4 different sessions. Friday (23rd) evening, Saturday (24th) morning and evening, and Sunday (25th) morning. All the sessions will be lead from a platform that is outside. The platform has power and is covered. Here are some pictures of Nakusp (Below)
Sounds like it will be a very rewarding trip for whoever is able to come. Besides the opportunity to worship our God in the outdoors there’ll be plenty of time to fish, water ski, kayak, hike, horse shoe, and much much more, not to mention the fabulous food prepared by the Furgisons (and you all know what I mean there). Dan (Winona’s Brother) and his team up there are very excited about having us visit and are preparing as we speak. I am very excited about going….
Only requirements of us is that we make arangements for travel and obtain a passport or an enhanced drivers license. We plan on leaving on Thursday the 22nd. Those that can come, though, I do need to know as soon as possible. I need to inform Dan on how many of us will be attending. Speak with your families and pray about it and please, get back with me right away.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to give me a call, 360.485.7437, or email me back (bevnarn@hotmail.com), eh?
Thanks to you all, love, Arn

We are planning an Outdoor worship service on June 20th at 10:30 AM. That is a special day to honor and treat dads. Dads usually like outdoor settings. Why not include your dad in the celebration? We will head over to Black Lake Camp (Just 10 Minutes South of our regular location) We will gather at 10:30 AM in the new Amphitheater right on the lake. It is gorgeous! Afterward we plan to enjoy a pot-luck celebration feast at the picnic area right above the swimming docks (where we often have our lake immersions). Following our picnic feast we are free to use the private swim and recreation area. Plan on relaxing and enjoying an excellent afternoon together. (Note: In case of rain we will meet back at the CVCC Facility)
From the North —– Take I5 South to exit 102 (Trosper Rd) Turn Right on Trosper (heading west) Follow Trosper to the very end and make a right Follow around to the left (turns into 49th Ave) At the stop sign (Black Lake Belmore) turn left at the end of the road you will make a right onto 66th ave
Follow road directly into camp (directly at the corner where 66th ave meets Fairview Rd.)
Join us for this special day of worship and reflection – Hasn’t our Heavenly Father been good to us! There will be no childrens program for this week and the worship service will be “Family Friendly”.
Note: Black Lake is always a good place to get baptized – if you want to talk about being immersed see Pastor Bruce or one of the Elders. Bring your friends and loved ones. And bring lots of food for the pot-luck!
Enjoy the great creation the Lord made for us!
