John truly sparkled when he looked at Dona. His gentleness and love were palpable. I am so thankful to have known them both, and that Dona will have support of so many when she needs it!

Dona – John was a very fine man, husband and father. He will be greatly missed, but we can all take comfort that he has found his place with Jesus.

John, you were a Sweetheart, and we’ve all missed seeing you at church. I’ve missed your hugs. But how AWESOME is it that you’re getting hugs from Jesus right now!!?!! And in a little while…we’ll all be there to share in the Love that’s waiting for us. In the meantime, we’ll be loving on Dona for you!

John always lit up the room with smiles. I really loved him. Praise the Lord he is safe in the arms of Jesus, however he will be forever missed. Love you Dona, and praise the Lord you are better! Hugs

Uncle John was always a favorite with his gently ways, bright smile &stories about our mom. I always felt like he and Aunt Donna had the most beautiful family with the three boys & Becky! In reading this wonderful account of his life I was surprised to learn he was just 17 when I was born! I can remember how handsome he was in his navy uniform.
I am so thankful the next time I see him will be in heaven and he will be completely healed – what a day of reunion & celebration that will be. My mom, being his older sister, is excited that he is no longer in pain & happy that she knows she will see him again.
My thoughts & prayers are for his wonderful family who have taken such great care of him, you are such a blessing.
